Choices . . . A Personal Story

Choices(Updated: August 2, 2019)

As I sit here today reflecting on Father's Day, I find myself thinking of the men in my life who held that role. I was very blessed to have my father until 1984 and then later, my stepfather. Both men were strong, faithful men who loved their family and their country. They weren't without flaws, of course, none of us are, but they were both loving and steadfast in their devotion to God, country and family.

Blog Take-Over Wednesdays

Blog take-over WednesdaysI got the idea for this blog sharing/take over from another favored author's website. It's a great way for me to introduce you to terrific authors of different genre's you may not know about. As an Indie Author, one of the hardest things to do is market your books, getting them before the readers. We are a small fish in a ginormous pond and rely a lot on social media, personal appearances, blogs, etc.

Why do you write?

Why do you write?I guess of all the questions I get asked, this is the most common. My standard answer is I just love to write. I always have. And I'm a voracious reader. While I have an eclectic taste in genres I read (I'll read anything that sparks my interest), I'm a romantic at heart and write the kind of stories I like to read. I prefer a particular pace, with a blend of action, dialogue, suspense and romance.

The Good Ole Days . . .

The good ole daysThe older I get, the more I realize I lived in the best of days. We didn't have much back then. In fact, by today's, standards we would have been considered poverty level. But, in addition to unconditional love, we had things no amount of money could buy. Our clothes were hand-me-downs but they were clean. The roof didn't leak and we had food on the table. We thrived on carefree summers spent at my grandparents farm or fishing with my dad or my brothers.
