How Much is Too Much? Adding Heat to Your Story
If your work in progress has any type of romance involved, you might want to turn up the heat at some point. If so, it’s important to note a few things about doing so.

Wow...has this been a year or what! Like everyone else, I have had my ups and downs, highs and lows, but thankfully made it this far! In celebration for that, I thought I'd end the year on a cheery note by sharing a hidden jewel I found over the holidays.
I love it when I get to share my thoughts and feelings on other outlets! Anyway, here is my latest interview published in Books & Benches Magazine. Check it out! https://www.booksandbenches.com/post/chasing-hope-dana-wayne-interview
As an author and avid reader, I greatly admire good writing and for some time have planned to add occasional reviews to my blog and decided to start with this one for Silver's Redemption, by my good friend, Patty Wiseman.
The trailer for my last book, Chasing Hope, is a finalist in a contest sponsored by North Texas Book Festival. You can view the nominees as well as vote by clicking on this link:

As always, your support is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I'm so happy to report that Chasing Hope, my latest contemporary romance, was nominated for the prestigious RONE Award through InD'tale Magazine. To be nominated, the book must be reviewed in the magazine and score 4.5-5 Stars, with the Crowned Heart for Excellence. Round Two of the competition is reader voting and our category runs May 4-10.
I love to cook. So much so, I published my first cookbook earlier this year of some of my favorite recipes. During these days of quarantine, I find myself cooking more. Back in the day, I made homemade bread often, but, over the years, got out of the habit.
In case you are wondering what happened to me, at the urging of my mentor, I am trying my hand at a podcast versus a blog. The jury is still out on which I will continue. I currently have several episodes recorded, and you can find them here.
We've all heard that you don't always know how your actions (or inactions) affect others. A simple smile or kind word can mean all the world to someone. I got one of those smiles when I was a freshman in high school. We won't discuss how many years ago that was, but I still remember it to this day.
